These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Residential Fire Safety e-learning platform. By accessing or enrolling in our courses, you agree to comply with these terms and any applicable laws and regulations.
Our e‑learning modules are designed to build strong, practical fire safety capability. Each course develops the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for competent practice in line with PAS 8673 and other recognised standards. Successful completion demonstrates that learners have gained the core understanding needed to carry out fire safety tasks confidently and responsibly within their role. However, competence is always contextual, and learners must apply their training in accordance with organisational procedures, professional boundaries, and current legislation.
Learners are responsible for applying training appropriately within their professional roles. Fire safety knowledge must be used in accordance with current legislation, workplace policies, and the limits of individual competence. Residential Fire Safety accepts no liability for misuse or misapplication of training content.
Competence is the combination of skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours required to carry out safety‑critical tasks effectively and in accordance with The Higher‑Risk Buildings (Management of Safety Risks etc.) (England) Regulations 2023. Residential Fire Safety develops competence by ensuring learners understand the building safety context, can apply relevant fire safety principles, and can recognise when a task exceeds their current capability.
Learners must work within the limits of their own competence, and where uncertainty or gaps exist, they must seek supervision, advice, or further training to ensure building safety risks are managed appropriately and proportionately.
All courses contribute to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and are designed to support ongoing professional growth in residential fire safety. Where formal accreditation or external recognition applies (e.g., IFSM), this will be clearly indicated within the course details. Learners can use completed modules as evidence of CPD activity in line with organisational or industry requirements.
All course content, visuals, and materials are the intellectual property of Residential Fire Safety and may not be reproduced, distributed, or modified without written permission.
User data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share personal information with third parties except where required by law or accreditation processes.
Refunds are available for course purchases only if the content has not been accessed. In line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, learners may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided no modules, lessons, or materials have been opened. Accessing any part of a course constitutes use of the service and removes eligibility for a refund.
Learner accounts are created using the email address supplied at enrolment. Email changes, name changes, or account transfers are not possible once a course has been accessed. Where a different learner requires access, an additional seat or licence must be purchased.
Unused seats within group purchases may be refunded within the 14‑day cooling‑off period, provided none of the associated learners have accessed the training.
Learners receive access to purchased courses for a period of two years from the date of enrolment. During this time, all modules, materials, and assessments remain available for review and ongoing professional development. At the end of the two‑year period, access will automatically expire unless additional seats or licences are purchased. Access duration applies per learner and is not transferable between accounts.
Residential Fire Safety reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
